Mmmh, so…

Gonna be absent from the internet for a few days because… I’m moving.

Got a job as a lab tech (studying mouse behavior–basically, the same stuff I did with the finches in my thesis project, but with mice) 5 hours away, and I start next week.  I don’t know if it’s permanent or not–my contract is for a year, but they can extend it if they like my work.

I’m only taking minimal things with me now–if it does become permanent, I’ll eventually take much more (tho, limited–I have too much stuff!).  And until I can find a place that will let me, I’ll have to leave my finches in the care of a neighbor until I can come back for them, probably in a month.  I’ve been separated from them before for like 3 weeks at a time, when I visit India, but it’s still hard…

And I have to part ways with my local raid group.  The Pokémon Go scene where I’m going is pretty active, but I’m definitely going to miss my small, local raid group.

But, anyway, looking forward to bigger and hopefully better things!  I’ll be back on tumblr once I get a place set up with wifi!
