Japan: Super Mario Orchestra Concert Announced

Japanese residents will soon be able to attend a special Super Mario Orchestra Concert. It’s titled ‘Koopa is the Protagonist!’ This concert takes place at the KYOTO CMEX 2018 in Kyoto on the 15th and 16th of September 2018.

In Level 6-9 of Super Mario Bros. 3, it is possible to skip the entirety of the level by using a glitch to jump over the wall at the start. If Small Mario jumps towards the wall, touches it at exactly the right pixel and the A button is pressed again, he will perform another jump in mid-air and have enough height to get to the top of the wall. From there, going to the right will lead directly to the end of the level. Warning: there is an unseen Koopa Troopa on top of the wall that may kill Mario, so it is best to keep jumping to avoid touching it. (Source)

Left: riding a rocket in Super Mario Bros. 2 at normal speed.

Right: If a POW Block is thrown so that it hits the ground at the same time a rocket is activated, the rocket’s speed will greatly increase.

In Super Mario World, hitting the very top of a Pokey’s head with a thrown object will display an animation of its head falling off, while not actually harming the Pokey itself.
