In Super Mario Galaxy 2, there is a way to skip the last part of Rightside Down Galaxy simply by performing a backflip onto the wall surrounding the 2D segment from the small green platform right before the gravity arrows start, as depicted in the top image. Following the wall, a 1-Up Mushroom can be found, showing that this shortcut was intended. Then, simply jump down from the wall towards the Star to collect it, as depicted in the bottom image.

Here’s a fun fact for ya!

Bowser’s first appearance was in Super Mario Bros. for the original Nintendo Entertainment system. But not where you’d think. At the end of each level, Bowser would confront Mario to try and stop him himself… Or so it would seem.
If you defeat Bowser with the Fire Flower power up instead of the obvious axe behind him, Bowser would be revealed as a simple common enemy disguised as King Koopa using his magic. As a matter of fact, Bowser only makes his very initial appearance in the game and in the whole series… as the very final enemy of the game.
